Serving the needs of the community
Under the grace and leadership of God, Hong Kong-Macao Conference has worked with all the churches to continue to carry out rescue and caring ministries, and is willing to show the love of Christ in times of adversity. The fire in Wang Fuk Court, Tai Po, reminds us that disasters come quickly, and neighbors lose their homes overnight and fall into pain and sadness. However, it is at such moments that the actions of the church become the most powerful testimony. Beds, blankets, baby milk powder, and even a simple drag buckle have become symbols of love. The church opened its doors to receive the victims, and prayer meetings became the backbone of the soul. The inter-church cooperative visit plan allowed volunteers (church members) and social workers to walk into the homes of the victims and accompany them through the difficulties. In these ministries, we deeply realize that actions are more powerful than words.

This spirit continues in the "517 Get Together" Wang Fuk Court Neighborhood Action. On May 17, 2026, the Hong Kong-Macao Conference and the Hong Kong Mental Health Association held a gathering to enable residents of Wang Fuk Court to share and express their voices with each other. This trust is not accidental, but a bridge gradually built by brothers and sisters in the past few days with continuous visits and sincere companionship. A total of 25 families and 45 residents participated in the day, and 33 volunteers served together. Participating churches and institutions include: Tai Wo Church, Tai Po Sam Yuk Secondary School Pastors and Students, Tai Po Church, Yuen Long Church, Bible Auditorium, Social Service Department, Local Conference Youth Ministry Department and Children's Ministry Department. Tai Po Sam Yuk Secondary School generously provided the venue, and the dedication of brothers and sisters turned into abundant resources, making this gathering a testimony of love. The residents' responses were moving: "Speechless gratitude", "Natural disasters are ruthless, but there is love in the world", "Thank you very much for your love and care." These words remind us that companionship and care are more touching than any words.
From these experiences, we get spiritual reminders:The need is still there, and the pain and anger need time to heal; the mission is not over, we must continue to lend a helping hand; love is more than love, because the love of Christ calls us not only to provide material, but also to walk with companionship and care. Every good deed is a manifestation of God's glory.

Therefore, Hong Kong-Macao Conference call on brothers and sisters to participate in two ways: one is through the dedication of the "Disaster Relief Fund", so that we can quickly mobilize in future disasters to provide immediate assistance and long-term support; the other is to join the ranks of volunteers and participate in visits, companionship, prayer and community activities., Let more neighbors feel the love of Christ firsthand. Dedication and service are both expressions of love and testimony of faith. Both are equally important, and both are worship.
As for the channels of dedication, brothers and sisters can donate through direct bank transfers or local churches, and indicate "Disaster Relief Fund". No matter which method is used, an official dedication receipt will be issued. These are just channels. The real message is: the love of Christ urges us to act, and in action, His glory is manifested.
May everything we do, whether in dedication or service, become a testimony to the glory of the Father. May all glory and praise belong to our Father in heaven.
