Tai Wo Church held its "25th anniversary celebration and Guest Baptism Day"

On January 31, Tai Wo Church held its 25th anniversary celebration and Guest Baptism Day, themed "Drinking Water and Remembering the Source, Catching People like Fish." The day's activities included student baptism testimonies, mime performances, and encouragement from pastors.

"Baptism Testimony"

Pastor Anna Fu, School Chaplain of Tai Po Sam Yuk Secondary School / Form 4 Student Sister Kwok

Thanks to God's grace and love, Tai Wo Church has been established for 25 years! On January 31, 2026, Tai Wo Church held a thanksgiving service in the auditorium of Tai Po Sam Yuk Secondary School. The administrative officers of Hong Kong-Macao Conference, Yuen Long Church and Sha Tin Church and other brothers and sisters were present to celebrate. In addition, we welcome sister Kwok determination to return to the Lord. It is a double happiness. The following is the testimony of Sister Kwok's baptism.

"Before I entered Tai Wo Sam Yuk Secondary School, I had been studying in a Christian school, so I had a preliminary understanding of Jesus very early. In the second semester of secondary two, my good friend Siu invited me to go to Pastor Anna Fu to study the scriptures. It was also at this time that I really got to know Jesus in depth. No longer like in elementary school, I listened to the gospel as a story.

Later, I began to return to the church, and over time, I began to think about issues of faith. For a week I kept asking myself, "Do you really believe in Jesus?" Are you really willing to follow Him? "It happened that when I was worshiping in the church that week, the speaker made a call to invite those who were willing to aspire to believe in Jesus to stand up. Therefore, I seized this opportunity and aspired to become a Christian.

Today I am willing to be baptized. This is a new starting point on my way to faith. In the future, I will continue to follow Jesus closely, live out faith in my life, treat everyone with love, share His grace with the people around me, and return to the Lord all my life! 」

The work of preaching the gospel has never been done by a single person. The Lord Jesus used to send his disciples out two by two (Mark 6:7). It can be seen that we must be concentric with each other and work for each other in all things in order to benefit those who love the Lord!

In this rapidly changing era, people's living habits have undergone subversive changes, online platforms are popular, and social circles are far and wide. In this era when you can know the world's affairs as long as there is an Internet, what role does the church play? How to formulate a strategy for preaching? How can the holy work be promoted? These are all issues that people of our generation must face.

Isaiah 43:19 "I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." The more difficult the situation is, the more we need to rely on God. Pray that the Lord will open a way out for us so that our thirsty hearts can be nourished by the fountain of life!

"Mime perception"

Deacon brother Tung, Tuen Mun Church

Under the same roof, we all follow the same heavenly father and God, so even if I am a brother of Tuen Mun Church in the Western District, I am willing to participate in the Tai Wo Church Celebration service and work together.

With assistance from the side, I feel that the mime planner arranges the command from a limited time and performs every large and small part until the completion of the mime sharing. In terms of role arrangement, the brother with little spiritual experience takes on the role of Peter. In the phone group, I see him all the time.In order to seek ways to improve his acting skills for his role, he kept asking questions and practicing constantly, which strengthened his spirit. As for the sister who prepared the materials, she was like a magician who made seemingly impossible arrangements possible, so that I couldn't help but admire God's leadership.

This just reflects that we who believe with little faith need to have the confidence to hold on to God all the time. I see God's wonderful works, and he won't give more, but we don't lack them. These details just allow everyone to be created together and feel walking with God and participating in it together. Serving in it.

I believe that God has placed me in the middle of Tai Wo Church this time. Perhaps he hopes that I can share my mime insights with Tuen Mun Church or other churches. I would like to encourage it.

Elder Esther Yang of Tai Wo Church

The short eight words "Drinking water and remembering the source, Catching People like a fish" tell the origin of Tai Wo Church. The road is made by people, and the church is also established by people.

It's the 25th anniversary. For me, it's not just this year. In the early days of the establishment of the church, in a small classroom (7B), soil was loosened, sown, and fertilized. Although these nurturing processes are invisible, they are still clear in my mind, like a mother's careful preparation before giving birth. Now twenty-five and moving towards thirty, I hope that brothers and sisters, like Peter, have the feeling of being called by Jesus, the confidence of walking on the water with Jesus, and still have the "first love" of loving Jesus (Revelation 2:4).

"Encouragement from the shepherd"

Pastor Christine Luk of Tai Wo Church

Thanks to the grace of the Father, Tai Wo Church held its 25th anniversary Thanksgiving worship on January 31, 2026 (Sabbath). This day is full of beautiful moments of praise and gratitude. Special thanks to Pastor Timothy Siu, Executive Secretary of Local Conference, Brother Philip Wong, Treasurer of Local Conference, as well as the director of the Children's Department and the Youth Department of Local Conference, Yuen Long Church, Sha Tin Church, Tuen Mun Church, Pioneer Memorial Church and other brothers and sisters of the Church for coming to support and congratulate us. Let us deeply feel the Lord's inner strength. The warmth of a family.
I would also like to thank our brothers and sisters for putting them together: from exquisite small gifts, program list design, venue layout, hospitality, poetry praise, mime presentation, to baptism decoration, thanksgiving dinner and youth league exchange activities, every post is full of love and dedication. This initial love filled the whole party with warmth and gratitude.
May the Heavenly Father continue to lead Tai Wo Church, so that we can be like fish in the faith of "five loaves and two fish", continue our original love, and glorify the name of the heavenly Father.
