On September 8th, at 8:10 in the morning, Sabbath School and Personal Ministry department of Hong Kong and Macao Conference set off with 18 participants and went to Kuala Lumpur to attend the 5-days and 4-nights of the Global Chinese Lay Congress. Today, under Typhoon No. 8, with the Lord's protection, the flight set off smoothly. 🙏
Day 1 (September 9th), 365 participants from all over the world gathered at this year's congress. Pastor Daniel Jiao, President of Chinese Union Mission, presided over the opening speech, and broadcast the enthusiastic speech of the newly selected President of General Conference to the holy work of Greater China, and then sang the theme song "Start with Me" from the LoudVoice music. This year's congress invited three famous speakers. Pastor Doug shared Isaiah 6:1-9, "7 Steps to Salvation." Pastor Jane Ross shared "three types of church". The scientist Dr. Stein shared "biological evidence of modern creation."
Day 2 (September 10th), three speakers continued to share inspiring messages, and Pastor Doug told about his experience in the cave. Pastor Jane Ross shared "The 6 stages of the preaching cycle". Participants signed their names on the banner of the "One Lead One". The congress arranged for Pastor Doug to take pictures with each person one by one. In the final moment, Directors from various departments of Chinese Union Mission provided resource sharing.
Day 3 (September 11th), the final message of the keynote speaker of the congress, Pastor Doug shared "Jonah's experience". Pastor Jean Ross shared "The characteristics of the Top Ten Healthy Churches". Pastor Chen Jiahong advocated the concept and operation of the theme of the congress "One Lead One". Pastor Daniel Jiao, President of Chinese Union Mission, finally called on everyone to commit to the mission of the "One Lead One" and lead a non-believer to the Lord within one year. Everyone lifted up the written promise paper and made a covenant with God in prayer.
