Newly elected Officers of the Chinese Union Mission Introduction

(Re-elected) The President, Pastor Daniel Jiao, received a DOCTORATE in Pastoral Leadership from Andrew University in United States. He joined the East Asia Committee (the predecessor of Chinese Union Mission) in 1994, during which he served as the head of a number of departments, and also served as a broadcaster on the Adventist World Radio (AWR). He has written more than 300 articles for "Last Day Shepherd Call", "Signs of the Time" and "Minister". In his free time, he likes to run marathons and enjoy happy family time with his wife and a pair of children.

(New elected) The Executive secretary, Pastor James Tham, completed a master's degree in Theology from Andrew University in United States, and recently received a doctorate in situational leadership Pastoral from Multnomah Bible Seminary, Jessup University. Before joining Chinese Union Mission, he served as the Youth Department Director of the Singapore Conference. Embracing the passion to accompany the growth of the younger generation, he has served in Singapore and the American Pastoral Association for more than ten years. This enthusiasm prompted him to establish the "Singapore Adventist Youth Summit" and the "Bible Speaker Training Academy" to provide equipment for new leaders who are called. Since 2022, Pastor Tham has served as a Director of the Youth Department and the Chinese Ministry Department of the Chinese Union Mission.

Pastor Tham is blessed to have a son Lucas with his wife Tiffany. His greatest joy is to witness how the gospel changes lives and how young people's hearts are ignited by the Word of God and follow Jesus. Today, he still continues to commit himself to the holy work of Christ with humility, enthusiasm and faith. May God continue to lead his service and inspire more people to respond to the Lord's call.

(Re-elected) Treasurer Elder Steve Rose joined the Chinese Union Mission in January 2022. He has previously served as an associate treasurer and treasurer of the Global Conference, the North Asia-Pacific Division and the South Asia-Pacific Division. Before being appointed as the treasurer of CHUM, he was the vice President of Administration and Finance of Walla Walla University in the United States.
