A Brief Review of Miranda Wong's Life

Sister Miranda Wong, whose ancestral home is Xinhui, Guangdong, was born in Hong Kong on August 31, 1959. She is the eldest daughter of Mr. Wong and Ms. Yeung. In 1971, she entered Kowloon Sam Yuk Secondary School, where she came to know the truth of the Bible, the salvation of Jesus, and the message of the last days. On August 7, 1976, she was baptized by Pastor Cheung and joined the Kowloon Seventh-day Adventist Church, faithfully upholding her faith.

After graduating from secondary school in 1976, to ease the financial burden of her younger siblings' tuition fees, she immediately began working at the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital in Tsuen Wan. In 1979, she enrolled in the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Nursing School, graduating in 1981. Afterwards, she pursued further nursing studies in Australia. In 1986, she rejoined the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital, serving successively as a nurse, clinical instructor, and mentor. She also took a six-month unpaid leave for an internship, obtaining her Hong Kong government registered nurse qualification. In 1987, she became a lecturer at the nursing school. During her time in Australia in the 1990s, she pursued a master's degree, and later went to the United States to further her studies in vegetarian nutrition.

She joined the Hong Kong-Macao Conference in 2000, serving successively as Coordinator of Health New Beginning, Coordinator of Health Ministry, and Director of Health Ministry, while also serving as Director of Elderly Ministry, until her retirement in 2024. She actively led health courses and professional training, established health groups, and provided spiritual care, benefiting a wide range of church members and community members. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she held weekly video meetings every Friday evening to share health and spiritual messages, and established the "3+4 Mobile Evangelism Group" to train brothers and sisters to record evangelistic messages using their mobile phones, promoting recorded courses on end-times messages.

In September 2023, she sought medical attention due to physical pain and was diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma. She began targeted therapy in October. After her physical gradually recovered, she steadily attended church services and initiated and continued to promote senior citizen gatherings and the "Fourfold Bible Copying" movement. She faced her illness with calm faith, firmly believing in the hope of resurrection. During a follow-up appointment on January 22, 2026, she learned that the cancer had spread and her condition had rapidly deteriorated. She peacefully awaited the Lord's Second Coming at 12:50 am on March 10, at the age of 67.

She has fought the good fight, run the race, and kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7). Her last wish must have been for God to raise up more workers to reap the harvest and await the Second Coming of Christ. May we follow Sister Miranda Wong's example, faithfully serve the Lord, inherit her spirit of holistic health and spiritual salvation, and patiently await the Lord Jesus' return on the last day.
